This coffee shop, located in „Schöneberg“ – a laid-back, middle-class living area in the southwest of Berlin – is an exception among the typical Berlin barista-style coffee shops. This is mainly due to its unconventional and relaxed atmosphere. You will search in vain for stylish furniture and posh clientele. The shop is tiny and usually packed. You get your coffee the way you like it independent of any coffee ideologies, which the owner (Arno Schmeil – world barista champion 2006) is surely familiar with. People sit in front of the shop drinking their cup of cappuccino while having a chat. We had the option to choose between two coffee beans: a daily changing roasting and the Nannini bean.
Latte Art and espresso tasted great even though it was nothing unusual. The price however was unusual: We only paid €1.80 for a cappuccino!
